for NM, slap 8 skills in your bar. two of them should probably be barrage and a rez of some sort. then take 7 heroes or henchmen. oh i forgot, this is for NM, you don't need a rez.
or you could check the sticky

Depends what you're trying to do, doesn't it?
Lots of clumps of baddies
R/Rt
[[Splinter Weapon]
[[Barrage] or [[Incendiary Arrows]
[[Throw Dirt]
[[Lightning Reflexes]
[[Distracting Shot]
[[Natural Stride]
[[Resurrection Signet]
Optional
Lots of casters (especially water eles. *hate*)
R/Me
[[Broad Head Arrow]
[[Epidemic]
[[Volley]
[[Distracting shot]
[[Savage Shot]
[[Throw Dirt]
[[Lightning Reflexes]
[[Resurrection Signet]
And the often denegrated but infinitely useful Ranger Turret for areas with things you need to kill FAST and have enough downtime between fights to recharge (Hells Precipice, Realm of Torment)
R/x
[[Punishing Shot]
[[Sloth Hunter's Shot]
[[Keen Arrow]
[[Distracting Shot]
[[Sundering Shot]
[[Throw Dirt]
[[Lightning reflexes]
[[Resurrection Signet]
YMMV, modify to taste.

I normally play HM these days and stick to BHA or EDA but i like to play R/P in NM to give me a chance to play with my pet.
I dont bother with a self heal since i have 600+ health and I find it superflious. I also never take a res sig though i keep half a dozen scrolls on me anyway at all times in NM or HM
Rampage as One{e}
Asuran Scan
Barbed Spear
Spear of Fury
Scavengers Strike
[Spear of Redemption / "I am the Strongest" / Pain Inverter / Infection Signet / Holy Spear] *Dependant on area
Charm animal
Comfort Animal
Cant remember the exact attributes but roughly
Spear Mastery 12
Beast Master 12
Expertise Rest
You shouldnt ever have much problem with energy or adrenaline and it chunks out a fair bit of damage.

Incendiary arrows+ignite arrows, as a lot of crap in PvE is skinless (Word?), so you can't use apply poison, that and save yourselves is imba to me. Rest is optional

Too many good ranger builds to name for NM PvE. There's Barrage, Ebon Dust Aura with Volley, or you could go melee with a scythe or hammer.

For NM, if there's fleshy foes about, I usually run Incendiary Arrows + Apply poison + Screaming Shot.
Then stick in a couple of inturrupts (Distracting Shot and/or Disrupting Shot)
Round out with Troll Unguent, and then either 2 PVE only skills (Pain Inverter, "Finish Him", Smooth Criminal etc) or 1 PVE only and a Res of choice
For areas with spaced out, but clumping mobs then I sometimes run a Barrage-Volley-Splinter Weapon combo.
For areas with more non-fleshy foes I'll switch to a BHA or Crip shot build with inturrupts, depending on foe balance.
And I'd not say that BHA was useless in PVE, only that you need to make sure that the Dazed is not wasted either by hitting non-spell casters, or casters that no-one else is fighting

well, let's see. (assuming you want to use a bow)
you're a ranger, so dshot is stapled to your bar
it's pve and you're a ranger, so you'll probably bring dwarven stability and lightning reflexes
it's pve and you're a ranger, so you'll probably bring either barrage or bha. since you don't want bha, you'll probably bring barrage
you'll need at least 3 preparations to keep up with how fast barrage will remove them. i suggest incendiary arrows, read the wind, and barbed arrows.
finally, you'll want to bring blackout because it will make you leet and remind you of "the good old days"

God I hope that was sarcasm. The only thing in their that was really worth it was the first one. Bring D-Shot, use it well and ull do fine. Build suggestions, shutdown is easy enough with d-shot in nm, and nothing really hits that hard so just go for damage builds.
12+1+1 Exp
12+1 Marks.
Read The Wind
Prepared Shot
Sundering Shot
Penetrating Shot
D-Shot
Asuran Scan
Drunken Master
Finish Him/Pain Inverter/Optional Skill
This is a good pve spiker. With Asuran Scan up it averages about 140 damage a hit, and ive hit for 300 in some areas. Its not so good in HM, but its still good.
Other skills that are good for damage include Experts Dexterity, Volley + Splinter, Burning Arrow. + Theirs the always OP Scythes that just get more when OP when idiot mobs mob up. PvE versions of Scythes are always insane due to the Luxon/Kurz PvE skill. Spear builds can be fun. Try this spear build if you want:
Never Rampage Alone
You Move Like A Dwarf
Spear Of Fury
Scavengers Strike
Cruel Spear/Stunning Strike
Burning Spear/Wild Throw/Merciless Spear
Charm Animal
Comfort Animal
Attributes for this are something like 12 spear, 10+1+1 beast, 9+1 exp.
Try some of these and see how you go.
